Hi!
Thank you for your interest in our website. My name is David Alexander, and I reside in the small Southern
Arkansas town of Camden along with my wife, Darline and our two daughters who
are presently in college.
My background is in the ready mix and aggregate businesses. My family operated ready mix plants in
Southern Arkansas and Northern Louisiana for 29 years until we sold out in 1998
to a larger company. During our ready
mix days, we were Kraft dealers and, since the new owners weren’t interested in
selling concrete tools, I retained the Kraft distributorship and continue to
supply our local concrete contractors with tools while I also work in our
family’s aggregate business.
During my concrete days, I was active in our state’s concrete association
and served on its board for 9 years and also served two terms as president of
the association. Along the way, I
became an ACI Certified Concrete Technician and an Arkansas Highway Department
Materials Technician. Because it fell
to me to investigate concrete problems for our family business, I also took a
number of concrete troubleshooting courses.
Even though I’m not directly in the concrete business anymore, some of
our aggregate customers call on me to help them troubleshoot concrete problems,
and I still consult with other people from time to time about various concrete
problems that sometimes occur.
During my concrete years, I also took an active interest in the many
things that can be done with concrete and built my home in 1990 with concrete
tilt-up panels. I also installed about
9000 square feet of pattern stamped concrete for my driveway/parking area. I’ve also done a few projects that involved
a thin overlay to create faux brick patterns over existing concrete.
Over the years, I’ve had
many friends who were concrete contractors and have a great deal of respect for
people in that difficult, work-intensive profession. I’ve taken a great deal of satisfaction in finding tools and ways
to make their job easier. In the same
way, I hope that I can also help you to find quality tools to make your job a
little easier and to save you some money along the way.
